Key Fob Stopped Working?

There are a number of issues that can stop your key fob from working properly. The key fob batteries may go dead, misaligned buttons or broken contacts, or programming issues.

What should you do before calling a locksmith?

*Check the batteries to see if they need to be replaced.

*If you have a backup remote, use it to verify that the primary key fob is faulty. You can take the key fob apart and see if you can readjust the misaligned components and test the fob again to see if it will work.

*If it's a programming issue, call a professional key fob programmer, MrQuickPick, instead of doing it yourself. A key fob is only programmed to work with one car only, that is why it is safe and convenient and need the expertise of a professional.
