Homeowners To-Do List – Doors Are Important

As a home owner, you probably have a long to-do list based on what needs to be done first. While your front, back and/or garage doors may not seem like it should take precedence, routine service to your doors and even windows can prevent accidents and the need for more expensive repairs or replacement later on down the line.

Move door maintenance to the top of your to-do list and call MrQuickPick for help! We recommend scheduling routine maintenance, but you can also call us after completing a visual check on your own. Here are a few of the things we recommend assessing:

· Door Panels – When they open, the doors should be able to clear the floor or floor mats without scraping the floor and there shouldn’t be any air seeping around the door or its joints.

· Door Sensors – Make sure your door sensors are working properly when opening and closing the doors. Check that they are firmly in place and not loose.

· Keys – Make sure that all keys can easily enter the door cylinder and turn the lock with ease.
